The TOR mentions a Junior Expert but I expect it will be a Senior which will win this.

Required minimum qualification/expertise/experience:
- PhD, Post-graduate studies or University Degree covering at least 2 of the following
subjects: Nutrition, Food Security, Food Science, Food Policy, Agricultural Development.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience related to food security and
nutritional issues in a developing country;
- Familiarity with issues related to the development of agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa,
including the challenges in addressing food security and poverty alleviation;
- Able to work in a multicultural setting and contribute to a good team spirit;
- Computer literate and proficient in Excel;
- Proficiency in English required.
Desired qualification/expertise/experience:
- Experience with food security and agriculture information systems, agricultural statistics
and database management;
- Experience with agricultural / food security survey methodologies and data analysis;
- Experience in analysis the food security and nutrition impacts of agricultural projects;
- Experience in working with a Ministry of Agriculture;
- Experience in institutional capacity assessment / capacity building;
- Experience in the development of training materials specifically adapted for user
populations;
- Proficiency in French desirable for engagement with sub-national governments;
- Experience of undertaking similar assignments in developing countries, in particular Sub-
Saharan Africa; experience in the Great Lakes / East Africa region will be an asset.
